Job summary

Purolator in Burnaby, British Columbia is seeking an AM Sorter. Shift: Monday to Friday, 1:30am–8:00am with a 30‑minute unpaid break. Pay rate starts at $23.63/hour, with annual increases and a top rate of $29.23/hour within 48 months.

The AM Sorter will unload freight from curbside trucks, sort by destination, weight, size and shape to meet client delivery schedules. No experience required.

Qualifications

• Specialized education is not required and no experience is necessary.
• Proficiency in English is required for communications with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
