Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our Medical Imaging Department at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC. This permanent part-time position (0.53 FTE) involves rotating day and evening shifts in a dynamic clinical setting.

You will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in collaboration with radiologists and other health care professionals, and you will hold a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program credential with eligibility for Sonography

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
• Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or ARDMS, or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).
• Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals.

Qualfications

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
• Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).
• Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
