Interior Health is seeking an experienced Sonographer for the Medical Imaging Department at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, BC. The role involves general ultrasonography, obstetrics and MSK exams with Philips Epiq, and collaboration with off-site radiologists via teleradiography.

This is a Relief Full Time (1.0) position with rotating day and evening shifts, based in Revelstoke, BC, a vibrant community known for outdoor activities and a welcoming healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• General ultrasonography experience.
• Obstetrics and MSK ultrasound experience.
• Experience coordinating with off-site radiologists via teleradiography.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound examinations.
• Handle rotating day/evening shifts as part of the schedule.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to interpret results.

About The Job

The Medical Imaging department houses 1 Ultrasound room and services offered include general Ultrasonography. Sonographers work with the Philips Epiq unit that was purchased in 2015. Our team works closely with off-site Radiologists through teleradiography. Revelstoke is a vibrant community with many young families and outdoor enthusiasts; therefore obstetrics and MSK ultrasound make up a routine portion of our work.

This is a Relief Full Time (1.0) opportunity until the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day and evenings.
