Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join the Medical Imaging Department at Penticton Regional Hospital in Penticton, BC. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and work in collaboration with radiologists, cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals in a dynamic setting.

The Medical Imaging Department provides ultrasound, mammography, CT, MRI, radiography and other services.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations in accordance with professional practice standards.
• Collaborates with radiologists, cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals to achieve accurate results.
• Works within a team in the Medical Imaging Department with rotating day shifts.

About The Job

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with the standards of professional practice, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals.

The Medical Imaging Department consists of five Ultrasound Rooms and services offered include: Screening Mammography, Diagnostic Mammography, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Radiography, Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy, and Nuclear Medicine. Generalist Sonographers at PRH work with GE and Philips equipment that was purchased in the last two years. Our team works closely with the Radiologist group for interventional work.

This is a Permanent Full Time (1.00) opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day shift.
