Interior Health is looking for an experienced Sonographer to join our Medical Imaging Department at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, BC. This Relief Full-Time opportunity involves working with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, providing essential ultrasound services.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Current certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS for assigned practice area.
• Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team closely with off-site Radiologists through teleradiography.
• Carry out general Ultrasonography.
• Provide obstetrics and MSK ultrasound as part of routine work.

About the Job

The Medical Imaging department houses 1 Ultrasound room and services offered include general Ultrasonography. Sonographers work with the Philips Epiq unit that was purchased in 2015. Our team works closely with off-site Radiologists through teleradiography. Revelstoke is a vibrant community with many young families and outdoor enthusiasts; therefore obstetrics and MSK ultrasound make up a routine portion of our work.

This is a Relief Full Time (1.0) opportunity until the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day and evenings.

Qualfications

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
• Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).
• Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
