Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Software License Management Specialist to oversee licensing, allocation, tracking and reconciliation across the organization. You will partner with internal teams and suppliers to deliver accurate licensing services in a cost-efficient manner, aligned with established processes.

The role involves reconciling licenses, managing deployments, supporting audits, and driving cost savings through optimization and renewal planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in software licensing and asset management.
• Knowledge of supplier portals and reconciliation practices.
• Ability to review utilization data and identify licensing gaps.
• Maintain reliable licensing records and entitlement documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder service skills.
• Prioritize multiple requests across email, Teams, ServiceNow and supplier portals.

Responsibilities

• Validate license availability and reconcile or reclaim as needed.
• Administer license assignments via supplier portals.
• Coordinate license deployment details with Technician Services Software Deployment.
• Monitor licensing inquiries and ensure timely action.
• Manage software versions and packaging for deployments.
• Support laptop refresh activities with licensing info.
• Investigate incidents where licensing is a root cause (ServiceNow).
• Support desktop software audits with installation reports and entitlement data.
• Identify optimization and cost-saving opportunities from utilization data.
• Maintain renewal records and purchase history for future renewals.
