Responsibilities
- Process software license requests.
- Provide assistance and troubleshooting related to software key distribution and activation.
- Track software license distribution and availability.
- Maintain accurate records of license assignments and periodically review/audit to ensure operational needs are met.
- Track software license renewals and advise procurement authorities to initiate renewals in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with DLCSPM staff on license requirements for operations and exercises, participating in planning as needed.
- Advise DLCSPM staff on LCSS baseline engineering concerning software licensing for baseline development.
- Assist the DLCSPM fielding team in planning software rollout, including configuration control and license management.
- Manage the DLCSPM library media center: process media requests, initiate workflows, accept deliveries, and conduct configuration management.
- Support the contract management office by processing software-related GFI requests and tracking deliveries.
- Support CAF operations, including ANOC, NESS, and CDMN CCB.
- Maintain control over media hardware assets such as CDs, DVDs, storage devices, and laptops.
- Maintain backups of media and update disaster recovery and BCP plans.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Proof of completion of a diploma or degree in a technical field (e.g., computer technology, computer science).
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in at least 4 of the following areas:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience accessing and manipulating databases via interfaces.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of software licensing models.
- Experience rolling out software updates in small to medium organizations.
- Cataloguing and tracking organizational items.
- At least 2 years of experience preparing IT-related business correspondence and reports.
- Within the last 3 years, at least 1 year of experience in one of the following areas:
- Providing advice or guidance on software installation and configuration.
- Delivering technical briefings or presentations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance and controlled goods certification.
- Ability to work onsite 5 days a week.
