Job summary
MaintainX is seeking a Software Development Manager in Canada to lead one of our engineering teams. You will own delivery and quality for your area, manage 5–6 developers, and drive reliable software from roadmap to shipped product.
You will partner with Product Managers and Designers to scope and plan work, coach engineers, and ensure effective CI/CD and observability practices. You will report to the Engineering Management group and influence technical direction across platforms.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of software development management experience, with a track record of leading teams that ship.
- Excellent communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with Recruiting and other managers to hire and scale the org.
- Strong technical foundation: system design, CS fundamentals, modern web technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead 5–6 developers: own delivery, quality, and day-to-day priorities.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to scope, plan, and deliver reliable software.
- Coach and grow your developers, helping them build skills and plan career steps.
- Provide senior leadership with visibility into team impact, progress, and risk.
