You will set direction, own outcomes, and drive measurable gains in velocity, quality, and reliability, while embedding AI and automation into daily execution. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on engineering presence, and a track record of delivering enterprise software at scale in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and building enterprise software.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams to ship features and enhancements; managing multiple teams preferred.
• Track record recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Experience building Payments or Financial products preferred.
• Bachelor's in computer science, MIS, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams to deliver roadmap outcomes; hire, coach, and set clear performance expectations.
• Set technical direction and make prioritization and architecture decisions that reduce tech debt and preserve long-term velocity.
• Stay hands-on: debug customer issues, ship small fixes, and improve operational readiness.
• Own outcomes end-to-end: define success metrics, inspect them regularly, and drive course corrections to improve predictability, cycle time, quality, and reliability.
• Give feedback on product and technical specs; coach ICs and Managers through tradeoffs to reach the right decisions.
• Raise the bar on quality: shift-left testing, enforce Definition of Done, build observability, and lead incident response and RCAs to improve MTTR.

We're hiring a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead teams shipping reliable products and platform capabilities across our Financial Management growth segment. You'll increase delivery velocity by setting clear direction, cutting decision latency, and building systems that scale. You'll co-own outcomes with Product and Architecture and drive measurable gains in engineering excellence - modelling customer obsession, radical ownership, and high standards, with AI and automation as core levers.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop high-performing teams to deliver roadmap outcomes; hire, coach, and set clear performance expectations.
• Set technical direction and make timely prioritization and architecture decisions that reduce tech debt and preserve long-term velocity; design for reuse and scale.
• Stay hands-on: debug customer issues, ship small fixes, and improve operational readiness. Engineering leaders here are strong engineers who keep their skills current.
• Own outcomes end-to-end: define success metrics, inspect them regularly, and drive course corrections to improve predictability, cycle time, quality, and reliability.
• Give feedback on product and technical specs; coach ICs and Managers through tradeoffs to reach the right decisions.
• Raise the bar on quality: shift-left testing, enforce Definition of Done, build observability (dashboards, alerts, runbooks), and lead incident response and RCAs to improve MTTR and prevent recurrence.
• Embed AI and automation into daily execution to reduce toil and accelerate delivery - not optional tools.

What You'll Need

• 8+ years designing and building enterprise software
• 3+ years leading engineering teams to ship features and enhancements; managing multiple teams preferred
• Demonstrated leadership: customer obsession, speed with quality, ownership for outcomes, and strong cross-functional partnership
• Metrics-driven and operationally strong: fluent in delivery and health metrics (cycle time, predictability, defect escape, MTTR) and experienced driving shift-left quality and using AI and automation to improve throughput
• Solid grasp of modern SDLC (CI/CD, automation, operational readiness) and tools like Jira and Confluence
• Experience with GCP, API management (e.g., Apigee), Kubernetes, and Git
• Track record recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing technical teams
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills applied to complex technical and operational challenges
• Comfortable holding organizational context - pattern recognition across teams, preemptive risk identification
• Experience building Payments or Financial products preferred
