MaintainX is seeking multiple Software Development Managers to lead engineering teams responsible for turning roadmaps into shipped software. You will manage 5 to 6 developers, own delivery and quality for your area, and make calls to keep teams moving without sacrificing craft.
You'll collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to scope, plan, and ensure high reliability, while coaching engineers and growing their careers.
MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.
In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.
We're looking for multiple Software Development Managers to lead one of our engineering teams. Whichever team you land on, you're the person who turns a roadmap into shipped, reliable software: you'll manage 5 to 6 developers, own delivery and quality for your team's area, and make the calls that keep a group of builders moving without losing the craft. This is a single hiring pipeline across our product and platform teams. On the product side, that could mean teams like Asset Lifecycle or Reporting, the systems behind work orders, assets, and scheduling that customers touch daily. On the platform side, it could mean teams like Search or IAM, the shared services and infrastructure the product teams build on.
We don't have a minimum in-office mandate, but we prefer our teams to be located around our office hubs. In Canada this includes: Montreal and Toronto.
You won't pick a team on your application. We place you based on your background, what comes up in your interviews (technical screen plus a team-fit conversation), and where the openings are at the time. If you have a strong preference going in, tell your recruiter early so we can route your interviews accordingly.
Our mission is to keep the physical world running.
Factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses stay up because the people who maintain them have tools worth using. That is what we build.
We take pride in a culture where everyone can thrive. More at autodesk.com/company/global-belonging. More on where this is going: Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost on building the future of connected operations, and AOS SVP Stephen Hooper on welcoming MaintainX to Autodesk.
