Job summary

Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts is seeking a snowmaking technician to support the snow making plant operations and monitor energy use on site. You will coordinate with the on-hill crew to maintain production and safety during shifts.

You will assist with hoses, perform minor repairs on equipment, and help control the flow of air and water in the snowmaking process. A strong work ethic and flexibility for weekends and holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well independently.
• Have strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy & efficiency in operation.
• Demonstrate computer knowledge and mechanical aptitude – an asset.
• Must be able to work flexible, extended shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Be completely familiar with the snow making plant function and operation.
• Observe and limit the electrical power consumption.
• Consult with the plant manager about any equipment problems.
• Assist snow makers by rolling hoses and performing minor repairs on snow making equipment.
• Monitor and control the flow of air and water to the snow making process.
• Act as a control center for the snow making department, ensuring that a communication link is being maintained with the on-hill crew for the purposes of production and safety.
• Be familiar with and adhere to company health and safety policy and emergency response plans.
