Job summary

WinSport is seeking a Snowmaking & Trail Crew Team Member to join the snow venues at Canada Olympic Park. You will assist with snowmaking setup, operate snow grooming equipment, and help maintain terrain parks for daily operations and events.

Ideal candidates are skiers or snowboarders with some labour experience, comfortable in outdoor winter conditions, and able to work 32–40 hours per week on shifts 7am, 3pm or 11pm. Valid Class 5 license and a love of the outdoors are required.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced level skier or snowboarder preferred, with own equipment
• 1–2 years' experience in a manual labour role considered an asset
• Flexible schedule to meet snow venue demands
• Ability to work independently or in a team in outdoor winter conditions
• Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract
• 18+ years old
• No vacation plans December 20–January 3 and all of February

Responsibilities

• Fall snowmaking setup including transferring guns and hose to various snow venues
• Set up and take down snowmaking equipment during snowmaking season
• Safely operate snowmobiles on the ski hill
• Maintain snow venues for day-to-day operations
• Rake and dye takeoffs and landings in the terrain park
• Dye Halfpipe
• Set up fence, ribbon line and B net
• Collaborate with snowcat drivers to install or modify terrain park features
• Set up and repair safety equipment on winter venues and terrain park features
• Assist with competition/event setup and takedown on all snow venues
