Job summary

Horseshoe Resort is seeking an Overnight Snowmaking Technician to ensure adequate snow for guests. The role runs from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and involves operating and maintaining snowmaking equipment in outdoor conditions.

Ideal candidates are 18+, possess a valid driver’s license, and can work flexible night shifts. Prior snowmaking experience is a plus, and physical fitness to lift 25–50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Previous snowmaking experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to meet ski season demands.
• Ability to perform repetitive bending and twisting.
• Physically fit to lift 25–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete all snowmaking operations and other tasks as assigned.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain snowmaking equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance and welding as required.
• Install and maintain protective padding around snowmaking hydrants, lift towers, etc.
• Operate snowmobiles with care and caution.
• Communicate and work alongside other snow makers and snow plant operators.

Position Summary: The Overnight Snowmaking Technician is responsible for efficient operation of snowmaking machinery and equipment to ensure adequate and sufficient amounts of snow are made for our guests to enjoy. The hours for this position will be 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Complete all snowmaking operations and other tasks as assigned.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain snowmaking equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance and welding as required.
• Install and maintain protective padding around snowmaking hydrants, lift towers, etc.
