Job summary

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is seeking a Seasonal Snowmaker for Fernie Alpine Resort to maintain snow surfaces and operate the snowmaking system. You will ensure reliable snow coverage and support winter operations in a mountain environment.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, enjoy outdoor winter work, and can work day or night shifts. Snowmobile experience is an asset, and a passion for mountain culture is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintain & monitor snowmaking system (pumps, hoses & snow guns).
• Shovel and clear ice.
• Roll and pack hoses.
• Perform general labor tasks as needed.
• Keep records of snowmaking details.
• Follow Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Handbook and Safety procedures.
• Perform other applicable tasks.

We are looking to fill the position of Seasonal Snowmaker at Fernie Alpine Resort. You execute the resort's goals of producing and maintaining high-quality snow surfaces as you know there is no ski season without snowmakers. You are the key to winter season success. The ideal candidate will have both snowmobile and record-keeping experience, be self-confident, physically capable, and desire to work outside in a mountain environment. You Will

• Maintain & monitor entire snowmaking system (pumps, hoses & snow guns)
• Shovel and clear ice
• Roll and pack hoses
• Perform general labor tasks as needed
• Keep records of general snowmaking details
• Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
• Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

You Have

• Physical capability
• Ability and desire to work outdoors (day or night) in winter
• Self-confidence, reliability, and are a quick learner
• Abiliity to drive a snowmobile (an asset)
• The capability to work various, round the clock shifts
• Prior experience in related field (an asset)

Compensation And Benefits

• Competitive wage: $18.25-19.00/hour
