Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited is seeking a customer-oriented technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment at our Red Deer location. You will perform routine servicing, test equipment, and keep records while delivering quality customer support.

The role requires ownership of tools, a valid Class 5 license, and the ability to work overtime in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two to three years of related mechanical experience.
• Hands-on experience working on construction equipment is an asset.
• Must have your own tools.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points) is preferred.
• Good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small engines and outdoor power equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
• Test and inspect equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Provide customers with information on proper equipment use and maintenance.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
