Job summary

Rogers Place in Edmonton is seeking a bartender to prepare and serve beverages to guests in a timely, friendly manner.

The role requires ProServe certification, previous bartending experience, evening and weekend availability, and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of guest service. You will set up bars, stock supplies, take orders, mix drinks, ensure compliance, and maintain a clean, organized workstation.

Responsibilities

• Set up bars and stock beer, wine, spirits, and supplies.
• Maintain stock and prepare garnishes, juices and perishables.
• Take and process drink orders; mix and present drinks with standard recipes.
• Serve beverages responsibly; check IDs and follow alcohol policies.
• Communicate and anticipate product needs and shortages.
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
• Submit daily inventory counts.
• Arrange bottles and glasses for an attractive display.

Description

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a timely manner, while maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up assigned bars and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
• Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
• Take and/or process orders for drinks; mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice prudent portion control
• Serve beverages responsibly. Request identification and adhere to all unit and company alcohol compliance policies
• Communicate and anticipate product needs and shortages
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Complete and submit daily inventory counts
• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area as per directed standard
• Comply to all Health and Safety Policies and procedures
• Build relationships with guests
• Adhere to uniform standards and job specific standard operation procedures
