American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Windsor, ON is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee yard operations, drive quality and safety, and partner with management to optimize processes. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership and clear communication to ensure goals are met.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisory experience in metal recycling or related fields, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Office tools.

Job Description

Reporting into the Site Manager, the Site Supervisor will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the yard. They will respond effectively to quality and productivity and health and safety requirements. They will see to the planning of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.

What you're responsible for

• Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
• Organizing workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
• Monitoring employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
• Maintaining timekeeping and personnel records
• Sharing information from upper management to employees and vice versa
• Preparing and submit performance reports
• Ensuring adherence to legal and company policies and procedures
• Undertaking disciplinary actions if the need arises
• Leading by example as a hands-on manager

Qualifications
