Job summary

American Iron & Metal is hiring a Loader Operator for our Fredericton yard. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, you will pick up and deliver trailers for different departments and weigh metals as they enter or leave the yard.

This full-time position includes overtime, uniform, PPE and boots, group health benefits and retirement plan after 3 months, plus ongoing training and learning opportunities to help you succeed in a growing environmental and recycling company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Receive metals and deposit to the designated location.
• Unload trailer(s) and perform quality control inspection(s).
• Transport containers of non-ferrous material.
• Load ferrous products for customers.
• Perform hardware identification tests using magnets or products.
• Perform inventory of stock according to established schedule.
• General maintenance of equipment.
• Any other related tasks requested by the manager.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Loader Operator picks up and delivers the trailer for the different departments in the yard as well as any other handling of equipment requiring the use of their machine. They also will weigh various metals as they enter or leave the yard.
