Serco Canada is the Royal Canadian Air Forces’ prime service provider at 5 Wing Goose Bay, Labrador. We deliver air operations, emergency services, logistics, and engineering support to the Department of National Defense, supporting NORAD operations and military training for the Canadian Armed Forces and allies.

We are expanding our operations in Nova Scotia and are seeking a Site Operations Manager to join our team. You will work closely with the military customer and Serco teams to deliver quality and efficient services to DND. Currently, we employ over 1,200 staff across four provinces, including a growing Indigenous workforce.

You Will Be Responsible For:

1. Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the implementation of contracted services and operations for the client.
2. Managing budgets, KPIs, and contributing to annual operating and capital budgets.
3. Leading subordinate managers and employees, overseeing performance and responsibilities.
4. Ensuring all reports and deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
5. Developing and managing business plans to achieve outcomes.
6. Building and managing a high-performance team, delegating tasks, and conducting performance reviews.

Business Development

1. Managing opportunities for organic growth and expansion.
2. Supporting rebids and proposal development for other contracts.
3. Promoting Serco values and ensuring staff practice these daily.

Health & Safety, Environmental:

1. Ensuring safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities per regulations.
2. Developing plans to improve safety, compliance, and service delivery.
3. Adhering to all relevant safety, environmental, and operational policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in Facilities Management or related fields.
• Program Management Professional certification (preferred).
• Experience with military airports or bases is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain Secret Level II security clearance.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
