Senior Manager, Operations and Sales Support, Scotia Leasing, Canadian Business Banking
Purpose

Leads the Scotia Leasing Sales and Product Support operations, ensuring the execution and delivery of business strategies, plans, and initiatives in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

Contributes to the success of Canadian Business Bank through partnership support and collaboration. Champions a customer-focused culture and maintains bank safety. Supports Scotia Leasing, a division of Canadian Business Banking, in developing and maintaining the leasing portfolio across Small Business, Commercial, and Corporate divisions.

Accountabilities
  1. Leads and promotes a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  2. Manages the quality and efficiency of daily operations, ensuring controls and risk management processes are in place. Delivers client service to Scotia Leasing clients.
  3. Considers the bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  4. Leads and manages direct reports, builds a cohesive team, and optimizes human resources to support business goals.
  5. Creates an environment for effective and efficient operations aligned with Scotiabank’s values, code of conduct, and global sales principles, ensuring controls meet operational, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risk obligations.
  6. Builds a high-performance environment, implements a people strategy to attract, retain, develop, and motivate the team, fosters inclusivity, and manages succession planning.

Reporting Relationships

Primary Manager: Director, Workplace, Technology & Operations

  • Direct Reports (3): Managers of Equipment Financing, Portfolio Management, and Special Projects.
  • Shared Reports: Oversees an operations team of approximately 18 FTE.
Working Conditions

Standard office environment with a hybrid work arrangement, subject to change. Non-standard hours may occur.
