Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is hiring a versatile Class 1 Driver for our Lévis, Québec site, Monday to Friday, 6:00–2:30. You will transport metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Requirements include a Class 1 FM license with a clean record and at least 2 years of Class 1 driving experience, plus strong customer service and safety awareness. Overtime after 40 hours and a competitive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 FM driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Ability to load/unload and operate heavy vehicles safely.
• Experience with dump trucks / Roll-offs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate heavy vehicles including 12-wheel Lugger and various Class 1 trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Safely load and unload metal materials and secure loads.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation.
• Provide high-quality customer service.

Education

Class 1 FM driver’s license

Job Description

We are looking for a versatile, qualified, and professional Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team at our Lévis, Québec site, from Monday to Friday, 6:00 to 2:30 You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.

What You Are Responsible For

Driving & Operating Heavy Vehicles

Drive and maneuver several types of heavy vehicles, including:

• 12‑wheel Lugger
• Operating a variety of Class 1 utility vehicles to transport metal materials while ensuring compliance with road regulations and company policies
• Performing routine pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in proper working condition
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck when required, using appropriate equipment, and secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transport
• Completing accurate and thorough logs of deliveries and any other required documentation
• Providing high‑quality customer service

Qualifications

To Join Our Team:

• You have a valid Class 1 FM driver’s license and a good Driving Record
• You have experience driving manual transmission
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class 1 driver
• You are customer‑service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• You have good physical endurance and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities when needed
• You have knowledge of metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
• You have experience with dump trucks / Roll‑offs (an asset)
• You are in good physical condition and have strong safety awareness
• You have good customer service skills
• You are punctual, reliable, and respectful of equipment
