Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Melfort, SK is seeking a Shop Foreman to supervise the Service Department and ensure quality, productivity and safety standards are met. The role involves acting as Service Manager in the Manager’s absence, providing quotes, reviewing work orders with customers, and guiding technicians through repairs.

The successful candidate will have a strong agriculture background and demonstrate leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to support our John Deere

Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture or farming support preferred.
• Ability to supervise service staff and coordinate workloads.
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign jobs and work orders to staff by skills and knowledge.
• Review repair orders for accuracy and monitor progress.
• Serve as point-of-contact for technicians on repair inquiries.
• Direct diagnosis and repair guidance for machines.
• Coordinate and schedule in-house technician training.
• Assist in safety meetings and maintain a clean, safe shop.
• Assist in providing performance feedback for staff.
• Bill time approximately 50% of available time.
• Fill in as Service Manager when absent.
• Uphold our Service Optimization standards.
