Summary

This role is accountable for the daily operations of the shipping department, including all incoming and outgoing shipments. The role supports replenishment buys for both production and maintenance requirements. Additionally, this role oversees and directs Union members.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Plan and direct daily operations of the shipping department to effectively and efficiently utilize departmental resources.
2. Collaborate with production control to understand current and upcoming demands.
3. Coordinate with production supervisory staff and quality department personnel to ensure customer ship dates are met.
4. Generate BOLs and packing slips, and prepare customs clearance documents for cross-border deliveries.
5. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and enforce them with Union personnel.
6. Support material and service replenishment, and maintain ERP with current costs.
7. Stay informed about regulations and tariffs related to cross-border shipments.

Requirements:

1. 3-5 years of supervisory experience in shipping and receiving roles.
2. Excellent time management and priority-setting skills.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
4. Working conditions involve a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment with purchasing responsibilities.
5. Overtime may be required.
6. Lifting or moving up to 40 lbs may be necessary.
7. Preference for candidates with a DZ license.
