Job summary

Cansel is seeking a motivated Shipper/Receiver to join our Calgary team. The role involves shipping/receiving, inventory tracking, cycle counts, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in warehousing/shipping/receiving.
  • Strong inventory control and cycle counts.
  • Certified forklift operator with safe handling.
  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems.

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a Shipper/ Receiver based in Calgary, AB.

This position is responsible for performing all shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing outgoing shipments, inspecting and logging incoming deliveries, and ensuring all materials are accurately recorded and properly stored. The role also involves maintaining and organizing shipping and receiving documentation, tracking inventory levels, and performing regular stock checks to support inventory accuracy.

In addition to core shipping and receiving duties, the Shipper-Receiver is responsible for operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools in a safe and efficient manner. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment is an important aspect of the job.

This role also includes assisting with general branch administrative functions such as supporting logistics coordination, helping with customer pickups, and contributing to overall workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills:
  • Warehousing & Shipping/Receiving: Hands-on experience in warehouse operations, including receiving, order picking, packing, and shipment processing.
  • Forklift Operation: Certified forklift operator with experience in safely handling and moving goods using various material-handling equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Proven ability to manage cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records to support operational efficiency.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficient in using computer-based inventory and logistics systems, with working knowledge of SAP and related software tools.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strong commitment to workplace safety with Dangerous Goods handling training and compliance with relevant safety standards and procedures.
