Job summary

The Authentic T-Shirt Company®/SanMar Canada in Mississauga, ON seeks a Shipper to manage outbound shipments, invoicing and pallet staging. You will work under the Warehouse Supervisor and collaborate with the shipping/packing teams to ensure accurate and timely orders.

Responsibilities include maintaining shipping processes, using the PICK system, and coordinating with carriers, all while upholding safety standards and helping the team meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping experience required in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to explain processes and implement improvements within the shipping department.
• Able to safely operate pallet jack and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiar with invoicing and COD/PDC procedures.
• Ability to work well in a close-knit team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain processes to meet or exceed shipping goals.
• Ensure on-time shipment of all orders released by credit by 6:00 p.m.
• Aim for 99.5% shipping accuracy rates.
• Monitor carrier pickup schedules and stage shipments for transport.
• Enter shipment details in the system and print labels.
• Coordinate invoicing for warehouse bays and packing lists.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipper is responsible for organizing, billing, invoicing,shipping and scheduling of all outbound shipments.

The Shipper is responsible for loading/directing theappropriate packages/pallets onto the correct carrier’s trailers. This position will provide significant inputinto all performance appraisals

pertaining to the shipping/packing/checking teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Previous shipping experience required, extensive knowledge of shipping/checking/packing processes
• Ability to explain processes and implement changes and improvements within the shipping
• department
• Able to safely operate pallet jack
• Working knowledge of computerized inventory systems
• Experienced on warehouse internal PICK system, particularly invoice printing
• Ability to follow paperwork flow
• Understanding of courier PC systems and manual waybills
• Able to work within a close‐knit team
• Can respond to or exceed established standards for speed and accuracy
• Familiar with invoicing and understanding PDC, and COD invoicing procedures
• Can work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Working Conditions

• 40 hours per week; occasional overtime required
• Must wear CSA approved safety footwear with protective steel toes and other personal protective
• equipment as required.
• Able to perform continuous lifting up to 50lbs
• Bending, lifting, pulling, and stretching required throughout day
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Use of ladder

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain processes to actively meet or exceed goals and objectives for the Shipping
• Department
• Ensure that the shipping operation meets or exceeds its established goals of shipping 100 % of all
• orders released by credit by 6:00 p.m.
• Strive to achieve 99.5% shipping accuracy rates
• Awareness of carrier pickup schedules
• Count and consolidate multi‐piece shipments
• Monitor and prioritize time sensitive orders
• Enter all shipment details via PC (print labels) or on manual waybills
• Invoice low and high bay sections of order on pick system
• List case contents as per check/pack notes
• Calculate and enter freight charges on pick system where applicable
• Remit CBD details to appropriate personnel, when necessary
• Match labels/waybills to cases or packages and attach same
• Match invoice and shipping details to cases/packages
• Separate invoice as directed, file copies; place packing slip on shipment
• Stage shipments as per carrier
• Compile and wrap palletized shipments, place in staging area
• Actively participate in process analysis and improvement activities
• Report any discrepancies which may impede on shipping accuracy
• Ensure that all checked and packed orders meet all shipping requirements from a data and
• Ensure work area is neat and tide, free of hazards and debris
• Ensure stock transfers are checked, packed, and shipped accurately
• Report any problems with equipment without delay
• Adhere to current and future company policies and standards to ensure a safe and agreeable
• working environment
• Assist in other areas of the Warehouse department and additional duties as required by management

Working Relationships & Communications

• Notify management regarding supply needs, equipment problems, and workload variances
• Inform Inventory Control or Returns of any deleted or cancelled orders
• Work in cooperation and communicate effectively with all levels of the SanMar Canada team
• Keep co‐workers informed of activities that have implications to their departments
• Openly communicate any success, concerns, or problems related to the job
• Communicate with shipping team members to avoid “bottlenecks”
• Clarify shipment details with CSR group as necessary
• Maintain contact with assigned CBD order person(s), when necessary
• Maintain open communications with carriers and dispatchers as require
