Job summary

Peterbilt Pacific in Canada is seeking a Shipper and Receiver to handle shipments, receipts and records for parts and supplies. You will ensure accurate packing, keep storage organized and support the Parts department.

Responsibilities include preparing packing slips, loading/unloading, inspecting incoming goods, and maintaining records. A valid driver’s license and 1–2 years warehouse experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract required.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong personal organizational skills related to workload, time management and prioritization.
• Effective problem solving and negotiating skills.
• Effective conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of parts to customers
• Pick-up and deliver parts for service and parts department
• Receive shipments from carriers
• Keep bins in main parts department full with overstock from the warehouse area
• Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare packing slips, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer
• Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and record damaged goods. Report shortages and damages to Parts Manager
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
• Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
• May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
• Verifies all packing slips with parts pulled to insure product and quantities being shipped are correct
• Parts returns, PR’s etc. are to be shipped within 1 week of receiving authorization to ship
• Assemble, check and ship core returns
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Compensation Rate

• $21.49- $23.88 per hour
• Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level
