Job summary

Peterbilt Pacific in Victoria, BC is seeking a Parts Driver to deliver and pick up parts and equipment for our dealership.

You will safely operate company vehicles, stage parts for orders, assist in warehouse duties and communicate with customers about our products.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of driving experience, a valid license with a clean abstract, good communication skills and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of driving experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong personal organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders
  • Pick up customer returns
  • Communicate and educate customer on our products
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Assist in warehouse duties, stocking shelves and keeping a clean environment
  • Operate company vehicles safely in various weather conditions and environments
  • Conduct thorough vehicle pre-trip inspections
  • Utilize dollies, forklifts and pallet jacks to transport parts
  • Refuel vehicles as needed
  • Secure loads properly
  • Handle and transport chemicals safely
  • Communicate using hands-free devices
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

The Parts Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up parts and equipment for the dealership.

Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

  • Conduct thorough vehicle pre-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
  • When necessary, utilize handheld dollies, forklifts and pallet jacks to transport parts efficiently and safely
  • Refuel vehicles as needed
  • Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
  • Handle and transport chemicals in accordance with safety regulations and company guidelines
  • Communicate effectively using hands-free devices to coordinate deliveries
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of driving experience
  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract required
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities
  • Must be able to lift up 50 lbs
  • Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team
Compensation Rate
  • $17.85- $20.00per hour
  • Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level
