The Headlines:

We are currently seeking a Supervisor to join our Taproom Team at Granville Island Brewing, located on Granville Island in Vancouver, BC. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of guest food and beverage service.

The Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all facets of service (Greeting, order taking, order entry, food/drink running, table maintenance, cash reconciliation).
  • Lead the taproom by setting a positive example for staff.
  • Resolve all customer complaints promptly, delegating major issues to the Taproom Manager.
  • Process payments.
  • Perform side duties as required.
  • Balance daily sales and cash drops.
  • Review previous shift logs and complete current shift logs.
  • Conduct 1-on-1s and corrective discussions with front-line staff.
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding new employees.
  • Assist with training and performance reviews.
The Other Qualifications:
  • You have 2 years of serving experience.
  • You are of legal drinking age.
  • You possess a Serving It Right certificate.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You can manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • You have proven troubleshooting skills and can work independently.
  • You demonstrate sound decision-making skills.
  • You are detail-oriented, sincere, responsible, and organized.
  • You can manage a flexible schedule.
