Job summary

Sobeys is hiring a Production Supervisor to oversee daily shift operations, coach a diverse production team, and ensure output targets, quality, and food safety standards are met. You’ll coordinate scheduling, training, and continuous improvement across production activities.

You will supervise staffing, maintain records, and work with Buyer/Planner to manage priorities while prioritizing safety and customer service. Evening/weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1–2 years of direct supervision in manufacturing.
• Understanding of production planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production shift operations with Buyer/Planner to meet targets.
• Coach, train and develop production staff for high performance.
• Supervise activities to meet output deadlines and quality standards.
• Ensure food safety compliance and record keeping.
• Troubleshoot production problems and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Maintain production records, reports and documentation.
• Manage staffing schedules and address attendance issues.
• Communicate direction and guidance to the team.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and improve margins.
• Support continuous improvement and adherence to policies.
