Job summary

Metro Supply Chain in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage shift activities, safety, performance, client relations, and people development. You will lead a team, coordinate daily tasks, and ensure efficient, safe operations on a 2:00pm–10:30pm shift.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will monitor KPI metrics, optimize labour use, and maintain strong customer relationships while upholding company standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in distribution; 3PL experience is a plus.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role within logistics.
• Strong computer skills and WMS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Schedule labour to meet production goals within budget.
• Lead shift briefings and communicate priorities.
• Assign tasks and track completion times for staff.
• Optimize order sequences for on-time delivery and minimize driver wait.
• Ensure proper picking/packing and quality standards.
• Track KPIs and KAIs for shift performance.
• Approve labour hours and ensure accurate payroll records.
• Provide coaching and conduct performance appraisals.
