Job summary

Metro Supply Chain is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Delta, BC to lead the warehouse team on the assigned shift, ensuring a safe, productive, and customer-focused environment. You will oversee performance, efficiency, quality, and staff development while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires 5+ years in warehousing/logistics with 2+ years in supervision, and a strong knowledge of WMS and office tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience; 3PL experience is asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and shipping activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and WMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
  • Strong attendance record and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive, accountable, and inclusive workplace culture focused on engagement and teamwork.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by ensuring service expectations are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, customer requirements, and health and safety regulations.
  • Investigate operational issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate labour, attendance, and operational records.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading warehouse operations on the assigned shift, ensuring a safe, productive, and customer-focused work environment. This role oversees team performance, operational efficiency, quality standards, and employee development while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support warehouse team members to achieve operational, productivity, and customer service objectives.

Work Schedule
  • Monday to Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM (10-Hours Shift)
  • Full-time position
  • During the training and onboarding period, flexibility may be required to work alternate shifts or hours as needed
