Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead restaurant operations in Winnipeg. You’ll focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, and staff supervision during shifts. You’ll train Sandwich Artists, schedule teams, and ensure equipment is serviced while completing required paperwork.

The role requires strong communication, organizational abilities, and at least 1 year in a restaurant. Full-time or part-time shifts (day/evening/weekend) vary by location.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience and ensure quality food preparation.
• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists on responsibilities.

• Maintain inventory control and ensure equipment is functioning.
• Complete paperwork and maintain cleanliness and compliance.

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standardsEnsuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
