Job summary

The Town of Milton is accepting applications for the part‑time position of Concession Shift Leader. This position focuses on food preparation, serving customers and maintaining a sanitary work area while guiding part‑time concession attendants and managing inventories in a fast-paced setting to ensure exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 11 education.
• At least 1 year experience with food preparation and cash handling.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• POS experience is an asset.
• First Aid/CPR and Safe Food Handlers certifications are assets.
• Criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening within 6 months may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assign work and lead concession attendants.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Emphasize food prep, serving customers, and sanitation.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and balance at end of shift.
• Follow opening/closing procedures for concessions.
• Stock shelves and display items orderly.
• Maintain equipment in a clean and organized manner.
• Complete inventory functions/reports.
• Assist in orientation and training of staff.
• Assist with orders, deliveries and inventory management.
• Support in special events as required.
• Lift up to 25 lbs.
• Comply with health and safety guidelines and SOPs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
The Town of Milton is accepting applications for the part‑time position of Concession Shift Leader. This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the smooth operation of concessions with an emphasis on food preparation, serving customers and maintaining a sanitary work area. Duties include assisting in providing direction to part‑time concession attendants as well as inventory management in a face paced environment while focusing on exceptional customer service

• Ensure accurate cash handling; balance cash at end of shift
• Follow procedures for the opening and/or closing of concessions
• Stock shelves and display items in an organized manner
• Maintain equipment in an organized and clean manner
• Complete all inventory functions/reports
• Assist in orientation and training of concession staff
• Assist with orders, deliveries and inventory management
• Assist in special events as required
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
• Comply with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Education and Experience

• Minimum grade11 education
• Minimum one (1) year experience with food preparation and cash handling
• Must possess strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills as well as mature judgment and diplomacy in sensitive situations
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Experience using POS is an asset
• Standard First Aid/CPR Certification is an asset
• Safe Food Handlers Certification is an asset
• Successful candidates will be required to provide a criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening dated within 6 months as a condition of employment
