This position is responsible for food preparation, serving customers and other duties related to the operation of concessions. There are two locations: Milton Sports Centre and Sherwood Community Centre. The Town is looking for dynamic, responsible individuals able to work in a fast paced work environment that possess excellent customer service skills.# # **Major Job Responsibilities**Major Job Responsibilities* Perform a wide range of duties related to the operation of a food concession* Emphasis on food preparation, serving customers and maintaining a sanitary work area* Perform cash handling functions, inventory and restocking of supplies* Must be able to lift up to 25lbs* Follow procedures for the opening and/or closing of concessions* Provide excellent customer service* Maintain equipment in an organized and clean manner* Complete all inventory functions/reports* Assist in planning and delivery of concessions during special events* Comply with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health & Safety Act* Other duties as assigned# **Education & Experience**Education and Experience* Minimum grade 10 education* Must possess strong communication and customer service skills* Excellent interpersonal skills* Ability to work well as part of a team, with minimal supervision in a fast pace work environment* Experience using POS is an asset* Preference will be given to those with food preparation or cash handling experience; Safe Food Handlers Certification is an asset* Successful candidates will be required to provide a criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening dated within 6 months as a condition of employment **Note to Applicants**This posting is for an existing job vacancy.
