Job summary

Work Authority in Cambridge is seeking a PART TIME Shift Lead to guide a team of retail associates during assigned shifts. You will drive customer service, manage daily operations, and support sales targets while ensuring the store remains clean, stocked, and welcoming for customers.

The role requires 2+ years of customer service experience, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Flexible availability including evenings and weekends is preferred.

  • Assist with inventory and stock replenishment.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and visually appealing store.

We currently have a PART TIME Shift Lead position open at our Cambridge location.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of retail associates, providing guidance, coaching and support on assigned shifts.
  • Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively, ensuring smooth store operations during shift.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and act as a role model for the store team.
  • Ensure all customers are greeted warmly and receive prompt assistance.
  • Deliver legendary service by resolving customer inquiries according to Work Authority’s Values.
  • Achieve sales targets by motivating the team to provide exceptional sales experiences.
  • Train and coach associates on effective sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Ensure the store is clean, always organized and visually appealing.
  • Responsible for the store’s opening and closing procedures.
  • Assists with inventory, including receiving, stocking, and replenishing merchandise.
  • Provide customers with a hassle-free experience when they need to exchange or return products.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and store operational guidelines.
  • Adhere to loss prevention guidelines to minimize theft and maximize store profitably.
Skills for Success
  • A minimum of at least 2 years customer service experience
  • Proficiency in using a point-of sale (POS) systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and other retail software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Excellent decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders safely to access elevated areas as needed, and the flexibility to stand for prolonged durations, bend and move with ease to complete job tasks.
  • Candidates should be reliable and flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and weekdays.
