Job summary

Bosch Truck Group Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to maintain a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses across BC. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure safety and reliability for passengers.

Review repair orders, gather parts, document findings, and mentor apprentices while promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Duty Journeyman qualification or Truck & Transport certification.
• BC CVIP License preferred.
• Diagnose and repair advanced diesel engines, drive trains, air brake and air ride systems.
• Troubleshoot complex multiplex electrical systems and coach HVAC units.
• Class 2 or better driver's license is an asset.
• Commitment to training through our dealer program at Red Deer location.
• Pride and professionalism in all work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and keep work area clean and organized.
• Document findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support smooth transitions to the next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices and share skills.
• Promote a safe work environment and proper practices.

Key Responsibilities

The Service / Coach Bus Technician is responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses. If you take pride in ensuring passengers travel safely and comfortably across BC, we want you on our team. Responsibilities shall include:

• Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following established procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
• Document all findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues discovered.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support smooth transitions to the next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices by sharing skills, offering guidance, and supporting their development.
• Promote a safe work environment by encouraging proper practices and helping maintain tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• A Red Seal Heavy duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification
• BC Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) License is preferred
• Diagnosing and repairing advanced diesel engines, drive train, and air brake systems/ air ride systems
• Troubleshooting complex multiplex electrical systems and specialized coachHVAC units
• Class 2 or better drivers license an asset
