Job summary

Savaria, a global leader in accessibility and patient care products, seeks an Installation & Service Technician to join our Silver Cross division in GTA. You will install mobility devices and provide on-site client training, with local travel within Oakville/Etobicoke during business hours.

Your role involves collaborating with teams, diagnosing equipment issues, and ensuring thorough documentation and customer satisfaction. A background in repair/installation and client-facing work is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in repair or installation roles.
• 2+ years mechanical/electrical experience.
• 2+ years direct client-facing experience, preferably in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Independently and collaboratively assist individuals with mobility challenges.
• Efficiently install stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, and other mobility and accessibility products.
• Provide on-site training to clients on product use and maintenance.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide knowledgeable support.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to accessibility and mobility equipment.
• Thoroughly complete all installation and service-related documentation.
• Collect customer payments after installations or services.
• Local travel within Oakville or Etobicoke and surrounding areas during business hours.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager from time to time.

Silver Cross specializes in selling new and recycled home healthcare equipment, catering primarily to seniors, caregivers, and individuals with mobility challenges. Location: GTA, travel between business hours

• Organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude; willingness to learn and adapt.
• Responsible and adept at managing time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both colleagues and clients.
• Ability to interpret and work with electrical schematics.
• Capability to lift 50-75 lbs.
• EDM-T license considered a significant asset.
