Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario, this position is responsible for the assembly of our product “Vuelift” – elevator models, as well as crating and packaging of finished elevator components. The role includes electrical and mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, packaging preparation, and ensuring all components meet quality, safety, and delivery standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical components and parts according to technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Fasten parts using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other appropriate fasteners.
  • Install and connect associated control wiring.
  • Conduct testing and quality checks to ensure assemblies meet safety and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical issues as needed.
  • Manually wrap elevator products using shrink wrap and other required packaging materials.
  • Package items according to defined standards to ensure delivery quality, including boxing, bubble wrapping, stretch wrapping, shrink wrapping, and strapping.
  • Operate tools such as nail guns, C-clamps, and blow torches as required for packaging tasks.
  • Lift and move heavy elevator components and packaged products safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures in English.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools in a manufacturing setting.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or assemble components.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to walk throughout the facility.
  • May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Assistance is available for weights exceeding individual lifting capability.
