Lever, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain premium appliances and outdoor products at customer homes, showrooms, and warehouses across British Columbia.

The role starts with hands-on training, workshop experience, and field ride-alongs to develop comprehensive product knowledge and service skills. You will manage field service calls, communicate with customers, and support warranty and non-warranty repairs while contributing to safety, quality, and continuous

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification is a plus.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing major household appliances.
  • Gas certification valid in province for appliance servicing.
  • ODP refrigeration certification required for refrigerant work.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsabilités

  • Perform service calls and diagnose faults at residences, showrooms, and warehouses.
  • Explain issues to customers and provide repair options and estimates.
  • Troubleshoot complex service issues and conduct repairs.
  • Support workshop repairs and approved rework before resell.

As a Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain premium household appliances and outdoor products at customer homes, construction sites, showrooms, and warehouses. You will play a key role in resolving technical issues efficiently, improving first-time repair completion rates, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Working across field service and workshop environments, you will handle warranty and non-warranty repairs while supporting product modifications and quality improvements. The role begins with hands-on training, workshop experience, and field ride-alongs to help you develop comprehensive product and service knowledge. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and delivering reliable solutions directly to customers.

Accountabilities
  • Field Service and Repairs: Perform service calls, diagnose faults, and repair major home appliances and outdoor products at customer residences, construction sites, dealer showrooms, warehouses, and other designated locations.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver professional, customer-focused service by explaining technical issues, evaluating repair options, providing accurate cost estimates, and resolving concerns efficiently.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate complex or escalated service issues, address deficiencies identified in builder projects, and apply strong diagnostic skills to determine appropriate repair procedures.
  • Workshop and Warehouse Support: Assist with product returns, perform workshop repairs, and complete necessary rework, modifications, and corrective actions before products are resold.
  • Service Documentation: Maintain accurate field service work orders, recording repair details, parts used, service status, and other relevant information through designated computer systems or tablets.
  • Parts and Inventory Management: Maintain vehicle stock of spare parts, conduct regular inventory counts, research and order replacement components, and ensure essential parts are available to support first-time repair completion.
  • Payment Processing: Collect and process customer payments for services using the designated point-of-sale system, following established procedures.
  • Safety and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain clean, organized, and safe working environments, while protecting and properly maintaining company-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Performance and Continuous Improvement: Meet established service and productivity targets, communicate openly with management, and contribute ideas that improve service quality, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
  • Training and Development: Participate in initial workshop training, field ride-alongs, and ongoing learning to build technical expertise and understand service operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade school certification or relevant post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Technical Experience: Previous experience diagnosing and repairing major household appliances, with a practical understanding of repair procedures and common product faults.
  • Gas Certification: Valid provincial gas certification applicable to appliance servicing is required.
  • Refrigeration Expertise: Experience with refrigeration systems and sealed-system repairs is highly desirable. A valid ODP certification is required for work involving refrigerant sealed systems.
  • Tools and Equipment: Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and other tools necessary to perform appliance repairs safely and effectively.
  • Driver Qualifications: Valid driver's license and a driver's abstract are required, as the role involves travel to customer locations and service sites.
  • Diagnostic and Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, sound judgment, and a methodical approach to identifying faults and determining effective repair solutions.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening, empathy, and the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
  • Digital and Administrative Skills: Basic computer or tablet proficiency and the ability to learn service management systems, update work orders, manage inventory, and process payments accurately.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to meet the physical demands of field service, including lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, and crouching or squatting for extended periods.
  • Professionalism and Accountability: A customer-first mindset, a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues and management.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new products, participate in training, manage varied service assignments, and consistently meet performance expectations.
