Job Summary

Main Duties

• Inspect appliances to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.


• Perform repairs, replace parts, and adjust components to restore appliance function and meet manufacturer specifications.


• Install new appliances, complete setup and calibration, and verify proper operation after installation.


• Carry out preventive maintenance, safety checks, and routine servicing to extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns.


• Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory logs, and job documentation for billing and warranty purposes.


• Communicate repair plans, cost estimates, and maintenance recommendations to customers in a clear and professional manner.

Requirements

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent education.


• Completion of relevant technical training, trade program, or equivalent on-the-job experience in appliance repair.


• At least one year of practical experience servicing residential or commercial appliances or related equipment.


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service schematics.


• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and reaching.


• Strong communication skills and legal authorization to work in Canada.
