Job summary

Beyond Bilingual Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for a full-time permanent role. The position is remote with Kingston, ON as a primary locale; candidates may live in Kingston or within about 1 hour east of Kingston.

Hours are Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with overtime and on-call rotation. Base pay ranges from $24 to $40.21 per hour, with increases after 3 months. Overtime is paid daily after 8 hours, with rates of 1.5x for the first four OT hours and 2x thereafter.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on technical service, maintenance or repair experience in commercial kitchen equipment or related field.
• G2 Gas Fitter certification/ticket is mandatory.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment or appliance service is desirable.
• Appliance Technician certification with fast-paced service experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas systems.

Field Service TechnicianFull-time, Permanent

Location: Remote – Kingston, ON (Candidates can live in Kingston or within approximately 1 hour east of Kingston)

Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM + Overtime- depends they can be on call: time and halfWeekends: every 6 weeks

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on technical service, maintenance or repair experience within commercial kitchen equipment, commercial coffee machines/espresso machines, food-service equipment, appliance repair, electromechanical equipment or a closely related technical service environment.
• G2 Gas Fitter certification/ticket is mandatory.
• Previous experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment is highly desirable.
• Candidates with an Appliance Technician certification and strong experience working within a fast-paced appliance service or repair environment will also be considered.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting capabilities involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas systems.
• DEP in Electromechanics, or a diploma/certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Appliance Service/Repair or a related technical discipline, is an asset.
• Equivalent hands-on technical experience will also be considered.
• Ability to diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs, adjustments, alignments and calibrations.
• Comfortable working independently and travelling throughout an assigned service territory.
• Strong customer-service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's licence with an excellent driving record.
• Willing and able to travel for technical training as required.
• Available for overtime and participation in the on-call rotation.
