Qualifications

• 3+ years automotive industry experience required.
• Journeyperson status in automotive service trade is an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical and tire services in a commercial automotive environment.
• Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
• Proven leadership ability with focus on operations and business processes.
• Commercial vehicle inspection programs and out-of-province inspection certifications.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing mechanical and tire services.
• Setting quality standards and maintaining shop quality of all activities.
• Creating work orders, arranging bookings, and communicating them to technicians.
• Provide service quotes, obtain customer authorization, finalize sales, and follow up.
• Recommend tire services, specialty tire services, wheel, and mechanical services to customers.
• Ensure completion of shop maintenance and repair work.
• Address customer complaints and inquiries professionally.
• Advise technicians on work to be completed; ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and morale by upholding strong business ethics.

As a Service Manager, your duties will include:

• Overseeing and managing mechanical and tire services
• Setting quality standards and maintaining the quality of all shopactivities
• Creating work orders and arranging bookings and communicating them to the technicians
• Provide service quotes and receive customer authorization for work to be performed on vehicles, finalize sales, and complete customer follow up
• Recommend tire service, specialty tire service, wheel and mechanical service to customers
• Ensuring completion of shop maintenance and repair work
• Addressing customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous, professional manner
• Advising techniciansof work that must be completed
• Ensuring technicians compliance with company standardsregardingquality, safety, and customer service
• Managing the morale in the shop by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic for dealing with employees, suppliers and customers
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop
