Job summary

Western Integrated Electrical is seeking an experienced Service Electrician to perform a broad range of electrical service and maintenance tasks in commercial, industrial, and residential settings across the lower mainland. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and installing electrical systems with independence and high safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman Electrician license (BC), 7+ years of experience, and strong troubleshooting and customer-service

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical/Trade School Diploma in Electrical Technology preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in electrical service and maintenance.
• Licenses/Certifications: Journeyman Electrician License (British Columbia) required.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code; FSR-A or B is an asset.
• BC Safety Authority certifications (e.g., Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection).
• Occupational First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in power distribution, control systems, motors, VFDs, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, motors, drives, controls, and other components.
• Install, modify, and repair wiring, conduit, and electrical components.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and communicate technical issues clearly.
• Ensure safety compliance with BC Safety Authority regulations and Canadian Electrical Code.

Job description

Western Integrated Electrical builds, installs, maintains, and commissions electrical systems throughout locations across the lower mainland. We complete a variety of electrical installations which can be located at YVR, hospitals, industrial facilities, commercial buildings and in many local municipal facilities. We partner with our clients across the lower mainland to solve their most pressing challenges including design build projects and custom solutions. Distribution and lighting upgrades. Conveyor and machine installations.

Summary:

The Service Electrician is responsible for performing a wide range of electrical service and maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation of various electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in a variety of systems, including power distribution, control systems, motors, VFD’s, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, motors, drives, controls, and other electrical components.
• Perform installation, modification, and repair of electrical wiring, conduit, and other electrical components.
• Customer Service:
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, ensuring customer satisfaction with all service calls.
• Communicate effectively with clients, explaining technical issues and providing clear and concise solutions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including BC Safety Authority regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety hazards promptly.
• Investigate and report all accidents and incidents.
• Documentation & Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, work orders, and inspection reports.
• Prepare service reports and invoices for clients.
• On-Call Responsibilities:
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service calls.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and noise.

Compensation:

• $48.00 - $52.00 per hour (CDN)
