Job summary

Houle in Prince George is seeking a Service Electrician to join our Electrical Services team. You will handle electrical service work for existing customers and help build new business in residential and commercial sectors.

The ideal candidate is a Red Seal Journeyperson with 5+ years' experience, strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, and a commitment to safety. Must be able to work after hours and on-call.

Qualifications

• Certified Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code; FSR-B is an asset.
• Commitment to safety and high workmanship standards.
• Ability to supervise journeymen and apprentices when required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Involved in all aspects of electrical service work for existing customers and building new business in residential and commercial sectors.
• Supervise electrical journeymen and apprentices when required.
• Willing to work after hours and participate in on-call rotations.
• Maintain legible, accurate paperwork and adhere to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with customers and teams to deliver projects on time.

About this role

Currently, we are seeking an experienced and driven Service Electrician to join our Electrical Services team in Prince George.

The Service Electrician will be involved in all aspects of electrical service work for our existing customers and building new business, primarily in the residential and commercial sectors.

What we're looking for

• A certified Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson for at least 5 years
• Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code. FSR-B is an asset
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety
• Well organized, team player, strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Skilled at electrical trouble shooting and problem solving
• Capable to supervise electrical journeyman and apprentices when required
• Able to work in an exciting fast paced positive environment
• Willing to work after hours and an on call rotational basis
• Ability to speak, read and write English fluently and able to maintain legible/accurate paperwork
• Must have a valid driver's license and hold a clean driving record
• A current IBEW local 993 member or willing to become one
