Job summary

Houle in Prince George, BC, is seeking an experienced Service Electrician for our Electrical Services team. You will handle electrical service work for existing customers and help build new business in the residential and commercial sectors, while ensuring safety and quality on every job.

The ideal candidate is a certified Red Seal Electrician with strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, capable of supervising junior staff, and able to work after hours on a rotational on-call basis.

Qualifications

• Certified Red Seal Electrician with at least 5 years experience.
• Solid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to supervise journeymen and apprentices when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical service work for existing customers.
• Build new business, primarily in residential and commercial sectors.
• Supervise journeyman and apprentices when needed.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and safety records.

About This Role

Currently, we are seeking an experienced and driven Service Electrician to join our Electrical Services team in Prince George. The Service Electrician will be involved in all aspects of electrical service work for our existing customers and building new business, primarily in the residential and commercial sectors.

What We’re Looking For

• A certified Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson for at least 5 years
• Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code. FSR-B is an asset
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety
• Well organized, team player, strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Skilled at electrical trouble shooting and problem solving
• Capable to supervise electrical journeyman and apprentices when required
• Able to work in an exciting fast paced positive environment
• Willing to work after hours and an on call rotational basis
• Ability to speak, read and write English fluently and able to maintain legible/accurate paperwork
• Must have a valid driver’s license and hold a clean driving record
• A current IBEW local 993 member or willing to become one
