Company: Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR)

Type: Full-Time Permanent Position

Designation: Primarily in-office, with limited opportunity for work-from-home

Location: 1243 Islington Ave, Toronto, ON M8X 1Y9

About CAPR:

The Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR) provides standardized entry-to-practice assessments on behalf of Canadian provincial and territorial physiotherapy regulators. CAPR reviews the educational credentials of individuals trained outside of Canada to determine whether their education is substantially different from that of Canadian-educated physiotherapists. CAPR administers the Physiotherapy Competency Examination (PCE) to assess an individual’s readiness for safe, effective, and independent physiotherapy practice.

The Right Fit:

We believe the kind of person you are matters. We have a culture of respect and seek employees who will thrive in our environment. When we hire, we consider your potential and how you may fit with our team. You will succeed here if you are:

  • An Excellent Communicator – You will collaborate with a dynamic internal team and various stakeholders. Your verbal and written communication must be confident, reassuring, positive, and clear.
  • A Strong Support – As the first point of contact for external visitors, vendors/service providers, and human resources matters, you demonstrate empathy, resourcefulness, and a commitment to high-quality client service.
  • Independent – You are self-motivated, resourceful, and manage your time well. Accuracy, confidentiality, and discretion in processing accounting and human resources information are critical.
  • Customer Service Focused – You are dedicated to providing exceptional service, ensuring that every interaction is handled with professionalism, patience, and a solutions-oriented approach to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders effectively.

The Position:

The Corporate Services Coordinator position is critically important to CAPR, providing support to our clients, stakeholders, staff, and leadership across the organization. As a key front-line representative of CAPR, you will coordinate communications, triage requests for information and services, and ensure timely and professional responses by directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel. This position oversees vendor services, office and equipment contracts, repairs and maintenance, and supply and technology needs. It also includes records processing duties in support of accounting and human resources functions.

The Compensation Package Includes:

•$54,000 to $60,000, depending on experience

•Comprehensive health and dental benefits, including vision, life insurance, and critical illness coverage

•Long-term and short-term disability coverage

•Employer RRSP matching

•Three weeks paid vacation

Your Responsibilities:

  • Reception and office services, including coordination of telecommunications, office equipment, offsite storage/document disposition, and landlord/facilities services. Supporting staff with information technology needs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and visitors by delivering responsive, solutions-focused customer service and ensuring inquiries are handled efficiently or directed to the appropriate CAPR personnel.
  • Maintain Corporate Services administrative/office procedures, contact information, corporate records, filing, archiving, tracking systems, and databases.
  • Perform accounting duties such as processing invoices, posting receipts, making bank deposits, performing reconciliations, and preparing accounting documents as directed by the Senior Accountant.
  • Act as the first point of contact for CAPR staff on HR matters; lead onboarding and offboarding processes; prepare and maintain personnel files and benefits enrollment; and oversee completion of training and policy compliance.
  • Manage software, hardware, and related support issues in coordination with the information technology service provider. Provide primary administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer.

What Makes You the Ideal Candidate?

  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, human resources, or office administration.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in customer service, office administration, accounting, and/or human resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Sage and BambooHR is an asset. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a reputation for reliability and problem-solving.

CAPR is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage all qualified individuals, particularly those from equity-seeking groups, including those who identify as LGBTQS+, to apply. We are committed to providing a barrier-free, equitable, and inclusive recruitment process and workplace.

How to Apply:

Please submit your resume to Katherine Taylor at ktaylor@taylormcmahon.com
