About the Job

The Service Coordinator's purpose is to deliver Super Service to clients through effective dispatch and coordination of technicians covering the GTA, Southern, and Southwestern Ontario. The primary goal is to position our technicians for success by scheduling and assigning daily work, assessing job needs, matching skillsets to tasks, and considering geography to ensure timely service and high-quality repairs.

Partnering with the Service Manager and Field Service Supervisors, the Dispatcher will own the dispatch function. The successful candidate will create, implement, communicate, and drive the daily plan. Collaboration with technicians and the Inventory Manager is key to success. Our client commitment is to deliver proactive, long-term solutions for waste equipment and provide peace of mind.

Location: This position works out of the office location

Work Hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm | Overtime and On-Call required

What You Bring to the Table

• 5+ years of Service Coordinator/Dispatch experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong computer skills, including experience with ERP systems
• Superior attention to detail and focus on accuracy
• Hydraulic and electrical system knowledge is an asset

A Day in the Life

• Handle all responsibilities related to dispatching technicians from our Brampton location
• Coordinate and assign service requests considering customer needs, technician skillsets, and geographic areas
• Provide technicians with daily schedules and maintain communication as plans or job requirements change
• Reconcile all Service Orders daily and prepare for AR department billing
• Support Inventory Manager in providing parts for upcoming jobs through parts requisitions in our ERP system
• Work with Accounts Receivable to research and resolve billing issues; interact with customers as needed
• Provide backup customer call handling as needed and support the Service Department's administrative needs
• Maintain a database of vehicle asset information, including kms traveled, repair history, and scheduled maintenance
