Job summary

Davis Ford in Pincher Creek, part of the Davis Auto Group, is hiring a Service Consultant to help customers keep their vehicles running at their best. In this full-time role, you will listen to symptoms, inspect vehicles, write and close work orders, and follow up with customers about parts and repairs.

The team values relationships, problem solving, and community involvement, with a salary plus monthly bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing sales role.
• Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills to develop relationships and ensure customer loyalty.
• Strong written communication skills to accurately detail customer concerns in each work order.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to explain systems and repairs to customers of varying levels of understanding.
• Ability to work independently, manage time/workflow, and collaborate with the team.
• Proven time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple demands.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Listen to the customer’s description of vehicle symptoms to gather information on the nature of their vehicle’s mechanical problem/maintenance.
• Complete walk around inspection and review prior service history to recommend additional needed service and preventative maintenance to the customer when appropriate
• Assist in writing and closing work orders, and taking customer payments
• Conduct regular follow-up calls with customers to keep them abreast of their part order or service repair
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals
• Assist the Service Department with other duties as required

What You’ll Do as a Service Consultant:

• Listen to the customer’s description of vehicle symptoms to gather information on the nature of their vehicle’s mechanical problem/maintenance.
