Job summary

Fountain Tire Burnaby is seeking a friendly Service Advisor to join our team. You will create work orders, relay bookings to technicians, and provide quotes with customer authorization for work on vehicles.

You will also perform proactive follow-ups to gauge satisfaction and recommend tire and mechanical services, while ensuring accurate billing and system updates. The role offers day shifts and opportunities to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive repair or tire industry is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a great attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Create work orders and book appointments, communicating them to technicians.
• Provide service quotes, obtain customer authorization, finalize sales and follow up.
• Make proactive calls to assess customer satisfaction with the service received.
• Recommend tire, wheel and mechanical services to customers.
• Ensure accurate billing and proper entry into the computer system.

Fountain Tire Burnaby (5850 Kingsway), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a friendly and dedicated individual to join our team as a Service Advisor!

Primary Responsibilities

• Creating work orders and arranging bookings and communicating them to the technicians
• Provide service quotes and receive customer authorization for work to be performed on vehicles, finalize sales, and complete customer follow up.
• Provide proactive calls to customers to determine their satisfaction level with the service they have received
• Recommend tire service, specialty tire service, wheel and mechanical service to customers
• Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer and process all necessary information in the computer system.
• Keep promotional material updated in the showroom.
• Participate in all safety initiatives, as required or assigned, to guarantee safety at Fountain Tire including customers and staff, on the road, site or field.
• Complete assigned e-learning and safety courses and adhering to standards and policies as described in learning modules.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts

What does it take to get on track?

• Experience in the automotive repair industry or tire industry is preferred
• Effective listening skills with the ability to identify customer needs and provide recommendations
• Working knowledge of passenger, light truck and, specialty tires and mechanical services
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial Driver’s Abstract
• Excellent customer service and a great attitude are a must
• A team player who takes pride in their work
