Job summary

Fountain Tire Burnaby is seeking a motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The role offers a competitive hourly wage and strong benefits, with regular day shifts and overtime opportunities.

You will diagnose, repair, and service vehicles, test systems to spec, and advise customers on future work. We value safety, continuous learning, and professional growth within a reputable Canadian automotive service chain.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a registered 4th year Apprentice.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and ability to provide top mechanical services.
• Diagnostic specialist who keeps up with modern technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract annually.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of malfunctions on customer vehicles.
• Perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete approved service on customer vehicles.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturers’ specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Maintain mechanical service equipment on a scheduled basis.
• Operate company and customer vehicles safely and cleanly.
• Support customer relationships by responding to inquiries.

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle

• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
